2022 North Fork Community Fair Musical Line-Up

This year we’re bringing back old favorites and new performers, highlighting musicians from around the Gunnison River basin and Western Colorado. Don’t miss this free, all day event celebrating community.

North Fork Community Fair & Solutions Expo

Saturday, June 18 ~ 12 noon until 8 pm

Live music all day on the Paonia Town Park Stage - Featuring:

You Knew Me When

Outfitted with an array of instruments, this husband and wife folk-rock pairing have toured nationally since 2012.

Based in Ouray, by way of Nashville, the duo is now touring in support of their fourth studio album "Songs of the San Juans."

We are pleased to announce that You Knew Me When will be bringing their Colorado inspired compositions to the Howard Berkman Memorial Stage at Paonia Town Park. You won’t want to miss this show! Find more at www.youknewmewhen.com, or on Facebook and Instagram

Lizzy Plotkin & Natalie Spears

This duo’s music seeks to “bring listeners in touch with the warmth of community, the quiet awe of wild places, and a sweet nostalgia.”

Lizzy’s exuberant fiddling is the perfect complement to Natalie’s colorful and syncopated banjo and bass playing. Their voices in harmony raise a room to a whole greater than its parts. In January of 2021, Lizzy and Natalie released their debut EP,“Just over the Ridge,”- which reached #10 album of the year on the Folk Alliance International Radio Charts and #7 on the Billboard Bluegrass Album Charts in January 2021.

The Community Fair is excited to welcome back Lizzy and Natalie. As avid students of the American Roots genre, dedicated songwriters, and experienced collaborators, this duo is an exciting force rising from Colorado’s vibrant acoustic music scene.

Mauka Aloha

Chris Kennison, based in Montrose, and local favorite, Jon Hickam, play a variety of Hawaiian steel guitar standards and classics from the American songbook. If you like unique stylings and skilled musicianship, you’ll want to be here for this set.

Hard Pressed

Hard Pressed is excited to be coming back for another year at North Fork Community Fair. A marriage of two lives, of a husband and wife, of a fiddle and banjo, raised on opposite sides of the country, the musical union of Cory Obert and Andrea Lecos, merged in the mountains of Colorado to create a new blend of OldTime Stringband & Americana-folkgrass.

Multi-instrumentalists, their music is both original and traditional. Hard Pressed will have their brand new CD available for purchase too! Drop in a coin and be entertained and maybe they won't be so "hard-pressed" after a while!

Samuel Heart with Freddie Mercury

A soulful singer songwriter and his four-legged backup perform original music and an eclectic mix of familiar and forgotten covers of all ages and genres. From Van Morrison to Whitney Houston, nothing's off limits for this Paonia-based duo.

With a big bluesy voice and a percussive rhythmic guitar style, Heart has a Modern Folk/Americana sound that will keep you dancing, laughing, and even a little misty eyed at times.

Honestly though, four-legged Freddie is the real star of the show with a few perfectly placed howls!

Solar Brothers

a.k.a Paul Frazier & Roy Martin, bring their diverse musical talents to the North Fork Community Fair again this year on Saturday June 18. Both have been living “off the grid” since about 2000, hence the name, Solar Brothers!

Paul and Roy blend musical styles such as folk, country, blues, pop and Americana to the stage, with tight vocal harmonies over their rich foundation of flat picking and finger picking guitars and mandolin.

Their first CD project of original songs, recorded at David Starr Studios was released in 2015. For more information, visit their Solar Brothers FB page.
