CO Farm & Food Alliance Seeks Grower Incubator - Food Equity Garden Manager

As a part of our Just Good Food project, Colorado Farm and Food Alliance is launching a community group food equity garden and grower incubator plot, located in the North Fork Valley. 

We are seeking to fill a seasonal, part-time contract position as Site Coordinator. The Coordinator will serve as farm manager, and work in close partnership with CO Farm & Food Alliance staff to help oversee the site and facility, coordinate volunteers (on- and occasionally off-site), assist with workshops and events, and provide physical labor such as doing site and soil prep, planting, harvesting, and more as needed.

• Part-time Contract position

• 15 - 20 hours/week, June - October 2021 

• Compensation: $17.75 - 18.25 / hour  

We are seeking to fill this position immediately, and interviews will begin this month with preference to have someone in place before June 1.   

Ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience in farming and/or landscaping work. Experience with project management and staff or volunteer supervision is helpful. Interest in and knowledge of permaculture, regenerative agriculture, and other conservation-minded practices is also a plus. Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs, work in hot environments, enjoy being around and motivating people and be passionate about local food and food justice.
